Hours can be earned year-round to report for the race season...
The Arkansas NICA League is committed to building strong bodies, minds, and character in student-athletes by leading through service for individuals and teams. NWA Wildcats MTB requires each of our student-athletes to accrue a minimum of 10 hours prior to the time trial.
Riders can earn bonus points to improve their year-end individual and TEAM score by doing one of TWO things:
Perform trail maintenance. A minimum of 75% of the total earned hours must come from trail maintenance activities.
Volunteer at bike-related events (without pay). The remaining 25% of volunteer hours can be accrued by volunteering at bike-related events (Bike Fest, Women of Oz, Enduro Lite Series, etc.)
The Arkansas Appendix in the NICA 2025 Handbook has additional details.
