We just completed a successful 2025 season!! With a fantastic group of 44 middle and junior high school student-athletes and bevy of cohesive parents and coaches, we could not have been more excited about this past season.
For those interested in joining the team for the 2026 season, please reach out via email at wjhsnica@gmail.com. We are in the very early stages of planning, therefore it may be a few days before a response. Coach and student-athlete registration opens March 2026 and April 2026, respectively.

The Arkansas League is split into the Plains and Plateaus due to the expansive growth we have seen over the years. Wildcats MTB (Washington JHS) is in the Plateau region!

For the 2025 season, Arkansas NICA fees are not increasing from last year, however they are moving to a one fee, one time payment structure for all student-athletes, regardless of intent to race. This new fee structure best supports the organization as a youth development program on two wheels with programming for events, multiple weekly coach led rides, outreach, adventure, grit, Teen Trail Corps in addition to support loaner bikes and scholarship programs.
For the student-athlete: A program fee of $350 covers the full season of participation, including league registration, access to highly trained and dedicated coaches, insurance coverage, preseason events, and 5 Arkansas NICA events in the Fall. Every student-athlete enrolled by August 10, 2025 will be issued a personalized number plate.
Early Bird Pricing: If student-athletes are enrolled prior to August 10th, they will only pay $335, a $15 discount on the season.
For the coach: (or any Level 1 volunteer or adult working with student-athletes on the team) The cost is $25 league enrollment fee plus $38 background check ($11 in subsequent years). Any adult who participates in team practices (rides with student-athletes) must be a licensed coach with Arkansas NICA and background checked.
