THE SEASON

We are gearing up for the 2026 season and are excited to build upon last year's success. With a fantastic group of 44 middle and junior high school student-athletes and bevy of cohesive parents and coaches, we could not have been more excited about this past season.

We are in the very early stages of planning, therefore it may be a few days before a response. Coach and student-athlete registration opens March 2026 and April 2026, respectively.

TRAIL & BIKE-RELATED HOURS

For the 2026 season, NWA Wildcats MTB is requiring each of our student-athletes to accrue a minimum of 10 hours prior to the time trail on August 22. Use the following link to report your hours.

ABOUT ARKANSAS NICA

The Arkansas League is split into the Plains and Plateaus due to the expansive growth we have seen over the years. Wildcats MTB (Washington JHS) is in the Plateau region!

As the parent of a registered student-athlete, you can stay up to date with correspondence and events in the Heja! app.

We will continue to post updates on our team site as we receive them from the league. Information from the league can also be found on their website HERE!

League Fees & Team Dues

For student-athletes: A league program fee of $355 covers the full season of participation, including league registration, access to highly trained and dedicated coaches, insurance coverage, preseason events, and 5 Arkansas NICA events in the Fall. Every student-athlete enrolled by August 10, 2026 will be issued a personalized number plate.

New for 2026, each student-athlete is required to fundraise a minimum of $100 that goes directly towards the team's operating budget to provide for food and team equipment. This enables the team to provide proper support including tents, coolers, water jugs, hydration, nutrition, trailer maintenance, etc.

Early Bird Pricing: If student-athletes are enrolled prior to August 10th, they will only pay $340, a $15 discount on the season.

For coaches: (or any Level 1 volunteer or adult working with student-athletes on the team) The cost is $25 league enrollment fee plus $38 background check ($11 in subsequent years). Any adult who participates in team practices (rides with student-athletes) must be a licensed coach with Arkansas NICA and background checked.
